During the previous Central Iowa Healthcare sale attempt and now bankruptcy proceedings there has been no word on the plans to build a new 12,000 sq. ft. Central Iowa Healthcare Clinic on South County Road (U.S. Highway 63) in Toledo. The plan first surfaced in 2014 and was reported then in the design phase.

A groundbreaking was planned for spring of 2105. That’s as far as it went and the project appears to have been put on hold since.

However, the present Central Iowa Healthcare Clinic at 1307 S. Broadway in Toledo continues to operate and has new, extended hours Bill Koller, director of the CIH Clinic System, told The Chronicle.

It is staffed by Bonte Gbemudu M.D. and Melissa Pearson, ARNP. The clinic hours Monday – Wednesday 7 a.m. – 6 p.m. and Thursday and Friday 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
