State Farm’s Good Neighbor Backyard Party set for Aug. 5

“We’re celebrating with our customers our four years in business- our way to say thanks. Even if you’re not our customer, come down and get acquainted,” Adam Andersen, said last week inviting everyone to his State Farm Insurance “Good Neighbor Backyard Party.”
It is being held at the agency headquarters at West High and South County Road (U.S. Highway 63) from 4-8 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 5.
Andersen said the staff is going all out to host an even bigger community event than last year.
There will be fun, prizes and food to be enjoyed by the whole family.
They will be grilling hamburgers and hot dogs and guests will also be able to cook their own on fire pits and S’mores will even be prepared for dessert.
The popular dunk tank will be back with new “victims. The roster includes Tama Fire Chief Paul Ellenbecker, Toledo Postmaster Mark Chute, State Bank of Toledo VP Jerimi Kopsa, South Tama Schools Superintendent Mary Jones and Adam Andersen himself. There may even be a “surprise target” or two, Andersen said.
Radio Station 106.7 Energy with Jamie and Sarah will broadcast live from the Backyard Party from 5-7 p.m.
Face painting, a bag tourney with prizes, more specials and a prize drawing for a television provided by Rainbow Restoration, Beaman, will be offered.
The Adam Andersen State Farm Agency has five full-line agents including Deanne Grieder, Dalia Fuentes, Darcy Smith, Rachel Doran and Andersen.
Adam Andersen is very active in the community serving as president of the Tama-Toledo Aquatic Center Board, secretary of South Tama Blue Pride, treasurer of the Tama Public Library Board, coaching little league basketball and his church board.
