With the Christmas season getting into full swing the annual Tama-Toledo Chamber of?Commerce “Holiday Explosion” featuring A Candyland Christmas is set for this Saturday, Dec 5 in Toledo and Tama.

Those taking part in the Candyland game are reminded to turn in their gameboards by Friday, Dec. 4, by 5 p.m. to be eligible to win one of three $100 Chamber Bucks prizes. You can obtain a gameboard at participating businesses.

Breakfast at the Tama Civic Center kicks off the days events on Saturday. A?Kids Craft Time is also offered there.

A free movie begins the afternoon at the Wieting Theatre in Toledo and Mrs. Claus will present storytime at the Tama County Historical Society Log Cabin.

A soup supper will be served Saturday evening at the Toledo Community?Building, 103 S. Church St. and gift baskets for the Wieting Theatre will be on display and auctioned off.

The annual Lighted Holiday Parade in downtown Toledo will cap off the day.

On Sunday afternoon, the Clinton Street Vocal Quartet performs at the Wieting Theatre.
