Beef producers can become Beef Quality Assurance certified Sept. 24
An opportunity to become BQA (Beef Quality Assurance) certified, or re-certified will be available at Tama on Thursday, Sept. 24.
A BQA Certification Session is set for 7 -9 p.m. at Tama Livestock Auction. Doug Bear, Director of Industry Relations, Iowa Beef Industry Council and Jason Lekin, Tama Livestock Auction will be the presenters.
There is no fee to attend, but please pre-register with Mandy Lekin at Tama Livestock by Friday, September 18 (5pm) at 641- 484-3465 or tamasale@iowatelecom.net
BQA participation helps to maximize consumer confidence and acceptance of beef by focusing attention on daily production practices that influence the safety, wholesomeness, and quality of beef and beef products through the use of science, research, and education. We know most of you are already following BQA practices, but certification proves to our customers that we are taking our responsibilities seriously and following through on good production practices.
