Premier Estates gives back to community

In our continuous effort to give something back to the community, Premier Estates of Toledo has committed to more events in the upcoming months. Whether it is a donation or assisting at an event, the staff and residents of Premier Estates of Toledo, will join together to help the community the best way we can.

On the first Wednesday of each month Home Instead and Premier Estates provides an Alzheimer’s Support Group. The groups meet in the Village Apartment Common Area at 403 Grandview Drive in Toledo. These are free support groups, the public is welcome and refreshments are served.

Each month we help out at the Tama/Toledo Senior Citizen Center. We help serve the meal, we provide a presentation geared for older adults and we call BINGO. We also travel to Traer and provide a dessert and a presentation for their senior community.

We will be working the concession stand at two different home track meets in April.

We are finishing up our can and bottle drive at the end of April for the After-Prom Committee. It’s not too late to bring your empties to Premier Estates at 403 Grandview Drive in Toledo. We continue to sponsor a monthly ad for the Tama County Humane Shelter. One last opportunity for us in April was to deliver Meals on Wheels during the week of April 13 through the 17.

May brings the Lincoln Highway Bridge Festival; we will be providing free popcorn for the outdoor movie on Saturday, May 16. We also look forward to helping out at the “Older Americans Healthy Lifestyle Walk” on May 23 at the South Tama County Elementary. We were just asked to be the Grand Marshall for the walk. We were honored to be asked and gladly accepted. National Nursing Home Week runs from May 11 through May 15. We have something special scheduled for each day that week with coinciding activities for the residents. Stop in and check us out. It promises to be a fun-filled week.

June 5 brings the first Footloose Friday of the summer. We will be providing free popcorn for the outdoor movie that night, along with helping out at some of the kid games that are being offered. Once again, you will find us in the concession stands for home softball & baseball games.

Watch the papers to find out where we will be popping up in the fall. We look forward to working with the community at all of these events, and hope to see you there.
