Ribbon cutting is Thursday for Iowa Premium Beef

A ribbon cutting ceremony is set for 9:30 a.m. tomorrow (Thursday, Oct. 22) for the Iowa Premium Beef plant in Tama.

Iowa Gov. Terry Branstad and Lt. Gov. Kim Reynolds are scheduled to be among those on hand.

The Iowa Premium beef plant is located at 33337 L Ave. on Tama’s east side.

When operational the plant is expected to add 600 new jobs to the area.
