Lincoln Highway Buy-Way sales Thursday-Saturday

There promises to be lots of flea market finds, antiques and collectibles and much more as the Lincoln Highway Buy-Way sales take over the historic Lincoln Highway Bridge Park and the original 5th Street route of the highway in Tama beginning Thursday, Aug. 7.
The sales run 8 a.m.- 6 p..m daily through Saturday. The Buy-Way sales are a national event staged along portions of the roadway, American’s first transcontinental route.
At 9 a.m. on Thursday, Toledo Mayor Dave Svoboda will give the official welcome to Tama-Toledo. A flag raising will be held and T-T VFW Auxiliary President Lois Jordan and the Tama American Legion Auxiliary will take part.
There will be music in the park on Thursday provided by Mooseman Productions.
Sales continue at the park and along 5th Street on Friday with Mooseman Productions music and a special polka and big band music from 3-5 p.m. on Friday.
Saturday events include clowns and bubbles, some great food vendors and entertainment by Mooseman Productions.
The event is hosted by the Tama-Toledo Lincoln Highway Bridge Park organization.
