Scott Morrow has returned to the chainsaw and lawnmower sales and repair business he first entered 30 years ago when he began work for the late Walt Oetchen. Morrow eventually bought out Oetchen and then, in 2001, sold the business.

Scott and his wife, Jaqueline, opened Tama Chainsaw & Lawnmower in January of this year. It’s in the Woodworth Center, 608 E. 5th, Tama. The location is next door to where Oetchen was once in the business, so the location is familiar to Scott.

While it has seen the location and ownership change several times, elements of customer service, quality product and knowledgeable and prompt repair remain the same. The business carries the motto – “Where honesty and value are key!”

“We saw a special need for people we had sold to in the past,” Morrow said of going back into business. He said they an service anything from products bought at “big box” stores to those sold here. Scott says if he does not have a part in stock usually he can have it overnight.

The Morrows offer Briggs and Stratton warranty dealer parts and service and carry a line of Husqvarna chain saws and lawnmowers. He says the Husqvarna brand is new to the Tama area.

They also have an inventory of used saws and equipment and accessories.
