The Grinch was in downtown Tama Tuesday morning and will be on hand for Friday night activities in downtown Toledo with his dog “Max.” News-Herald/John Speer

TAMA NEWS-HERALD – This Friday night, Nov. 26, a tree lighting ceremony on the Tama County Courthouse square in downtown Toledo will help “Turn Black Friday into a Bright Night” as the Tama-Toledo Area Chamber of Commerce holiday activities begin.

Santa’s Workshop provided by Spahn and Rose Lumber, Tama, with photos by Michael Adams Studio will be open from 5-7 p.m. on the square.

Cub Scouts will serve hot cocoa and cookies provided by the State Bank of Toledo beginning at 5 p.m.

Drawings for prizes will take take place every 15 minutes, a Christmas music, a special guest and the showing of the movie “Secretariat” at the Wieting round out the evening.
