Seven things to know from Monday’s Tama city council meeting

The Council approved the tax abatement for 806 Clubhouse Circle.
Resolution #22-44 was approved, supporting the investment in the City’s water infrastructure at 1304 State St.
The Council approved raising the pay rate for part-time advanced EMTS to $19 per hour.
Richard Jimenez was appointed to the Board of Adjustments.
The Council approved the purchase of the bar screen for the wastewater plant at $172,137.00.
The 5-2-1-0 Grant application was approved. This grant consists of trail signage at the Rec Trail, soccer fields at Oak Park, GaGa Pit at Third Street Park, and benches at the Rec Trail.
Employee handbook changes made at the Nov. 21 meeting were approved.
A public hearing was held to review a CDBG Derecho application for $1,722,947 to convert an old vacant Catholic church into 12 rental units at 600 Oswego Street.
