Five things to know from Monday’s Board of Supervisors meeting

The Board approved the following utility permits for Windstream at T47 and North Ave. near Gladbrook, E Ave. south of Lincoln, and H Ave. into Hwy 30. Grundy REC line rebuilds at T69 to Lincoln. Centurylink DOT Permits along Highway 30 to lower and shorten lines.

Resolution 28E: Agreement with Traer for public safety radio system was approved. This agreement allows Tama Co. to use Traer city property to install and maintain a public safety radio system free of charge under the parties’ agreement terms.

The Board set a date for election canvas for Tama’s 13 precincts for Nov. 14 at 10:30 am.

The Board set a date for a budget amendment public hearing on Dec. 5 at 10 a.m. This budget meeting will address the public safety radio system, mental health fund, HR training, and legal fee budget increase.
