Toledo City Council minutes – 9/26
Toledo Halloween Trick-or-Treat has been approved for October 31st from 5:00 to 7:00 pm.
Council approved the renewal of city insurance through AssuredPartners.
Proposed Resolution #2022-34, a bid from Dave Schmitt Construction for the Woodlawn First Addition Project of $1,878,690.00, was approved. The Woodlawn First Addition project involves the development of a new subdivision in Toledo. This work includes grading, installation of new pavement, storm sewer, sanitary sewer, water main, exiting utility removals, site restoration, clearing & grubbing, seeding, and other miscellaneous items required to complete work along S. Elm St.
The following lien for nuisance mowing and delinquent utility accounts were approved:
– Property 3107 K Ave., owned by Tiffany Lentz of Clutier, owes $276.97 in utilities.
– Property 601 E. Ross Lot 4, owned by David Hurn of Toledo, owes $450.00 for city mowing services.
– Property 405 N. Center Lot 1 and 2, owned by Bryce Climer of Toledo, owes $500 for city mowing services.
– Property 410 S. Main St., owned by Carlos Ortiz-Lux of Toledo, owes $200 for city mowing services.
– Property 3140 K Ave. Lot 9, owned by Eric Climer of Toledo, owes $1,200 for city mowing services.
– Property 204 W. Marshall St., owned by Kayelani Kapayou of Tama, owes $1,450 for city mowing services.
– Property 207 Church St., owned by Anthony Wasekuk of Montour, owes $950 for city mowing services.
– Property 609 S. Broadway Lot 6 and 7, owned by Valentin and Babette Lerma of Grinnell, owe $1,450 for city mowing services.
– Property 504 S. Church St. Lot 8, owned by Clifford Puckett of Aplington, owes $1,500 for city mowing services.

The council approves a $2 per capita for Toledo citizens for the Tama County Economic Development.
The Annual Urban Renewal and City Street Finance report, Resolution 2022-35, for the fiscal year of 2022 was approved.
