Dale Slingluff will celebrate his 95th birthday with an open house 2-4 p.m., Oct. 3, at Carrington Place of Toledo in the dining area of the apartments.

He was born Oct. 4, 1914, in Highland Township of Tama County to Clyde and Verna Slingluff. He married Helen Hempy on June 25, 1943. They farmed in Highland Township for 45 years. Helen passed away in Feb., 2001.

Hosting the event will be Dale’s family which includes a son, Terry (Jeanne) Slingluff, St. Cloud, Minn. and a daughter, Barbara (Elmon) Tatroe, Waverly. Dale has five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.No gifts, please, your presence is a gift to him.
