Arrest Report – Tama County Jail

A criminal charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

Thursday, Oct. 5

Jayrin Valentine Papakee (19) of Tama was arrested for public intoxication by the Tama Police Department in Tama. He was released the same day after pleading guilty.

Theresa Lyn Handsaker (55) of Grinnell was arrested on an out of county/state warrant by the Toledo Police Department.

Shalom Mantay Kata (58) of Des Moines was arrested on a warrant and for simple assault by the Meskwaki Tribal Police in Tama. He was released the same day after pleading guilty.

Tara Clark Garcia (45) of Keystone was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear by the Tama County Sheriff’s Department in Toledo. She was released the same day on a court order.

Friday, Oct. 6

Chase Smith Walker (38) of Morgan, Utah, was arrested for interference with official acts, OWI — second offense, dark window or windshield, speeding and failure to obey stop sign/yield right-of-way by the Meskwaki Tribal Police in Toledo. He was released the same day on bond.

Felicitas Sosa-Encarnacion (40) of Tama was arrested for no valid driver’s license and driving under suspension by the DOT in Tama. He was released the same day after pleading guilty.

Say Wah (27) of Ottumwa was arrested for violation of probation by the Tama County Sheriff’s Department in Toledo.

Miguel Araujo-Rocha (38) of Tama was arrested for two counts of fraudulent practices — $1,000 to $10,000 by the DOT in Toledo.

Saturday, Oct. 7

Robert John Hergert Sr. (66) of Clutier was arrested on an out of county/state warrant by the Tama County Sheriff’s Department in Clutier. He was shipped out on Oct. 13.

Bailey Andrew Schwerin (23) of Dysart was arrested for domestic abuse assault — first and child endangerment by the Tama County Sheriff’s Department in Traer. He was released on his own recognizance the following day.

Michael Robert Vest (41) of Tama was arrested for contempt — violation of a no-contact order by the Tama Police Department in Tama.

A juvenile was arrested for burglary — third degree vehicle first offense, theft second degree, possession of burglary tools, possession of drug paraphernalia, minor using tobacco/vaping products and criminal mischief second by the Meskwaki Tribal Police on County Highway T47.

Another juvenile was arrested for operating a vehicle without owner’s consent and no valid driver’s license by the Meskwaki Tribal Police on County Highway T47.

Monday, Oct. 9

Nolan Durrell Walker (36) of Des Moines was arrested for public intoxication by the Tama Police Department in Tama. He was released the same day after pleading guilty.

Rhonda Gayle Kizer (62) of Grinnell was arrested for assault with bodily injury, first degree burglary, criminal mischief fourth, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance first, second, third by the Tama County Sheriff’s Department in Montour. She was granted pretrial release the same day.

Amber Rose Lesmeister (31) of Tama was arrested for domestic assault choking/bodily injury by the Tama Police Department in Tama. She was released on bond the following day.

Nolan Durrell Walker (36) of Des Moines was arrested for public intoxication by the Meskwaki Tribal Police in Tama.

Gina Kiris Anthony (31) of Marshalltown was arrested for driving while barred by the Meskwaki Tribal Police in Tama. He was released on bond the same day.

Murphy Aaron Blackcloud (40) of Tama was arrested for OWI — first offense and reckless driving by the Meskwaki Tribal Police in Tama. He was released on his own recognizance the following day.

Brittany Joeanne Blocker (36) of Toledo was arrested on warrants for two counts of possession of a controlled substance — first, second, third and possession of drug paraphernalia by the Meskwaki Tribal Police in Tama. She was released on her own recognizance the following day.

Tuesday, Oct. 10

A juvenile was arrested for speeding and driving under suspension by the Toledo Police Department.

Ryan Jason Papakee (51) of Tama was arrested for public intoxication by the Tama Police Department in Tama. He was released after pleading guilty.

Herman Miranda (46) of Tama was arrested for domestic abuse assault choking/bodily injury, domestic abuse assault — third or subsequent offense and child endangerment by the Tama Police Department in Tama.

Michael Lee Swanson (69) of Toledo was arrested for driving under suspension by the Toledo Police Department in Toledo.

Wednesday, Oct. 11

Taylor Dawn Lynch (30) of Marshalltown was arrested for OWI — first offense, child endangerment, open container — driver 21 years or older and improper registration plate lamp by the Meskwaki Tribal Police in Toledo. She was released on her own recognizance the following day.

Marcus Devon Widmann (36) of Waterloo was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear by the Tama County Sheriff’s Department in Toledo.

Andrew Stephen Gabnay (27) of Waterloo was arrested for violation of probation by the Tama County Sheriff’s Department in Toledo.
