Arrest Report – Tama County Jail

A criminal charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

June 9

Jessica Renea Darrah, 36, of Tama was arrested by the Tama County Sheriff’s Department for first degree harassment.

Michael Lawrence Whistler, 44, of Newton was arrested by the Toledo Police Department for OWI (first offense), possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Whistler was released the same day under his own recognizance.

Keri Ann Kopriva, 42, of Elberon was arrested by the Tama County Sheriff’s Department for operating without an ignition interlock, driving while barred, failing to yield for an emergency vehicle and driving with a suspended license. Kopriva was arrested the same day on bond.

Ryan Sergei Marek, 31, of Mason City was arrested by the Tama County Sheriff’s Department for third degree burglary, third degree theft, and fourth degree criminal mischeif.

June 10

Richard Eugene Bowers, 73, of Manchester was arrested by the Meskwaki Tribal Police on a warrant.

Joseph Alexandre Gilchrist, 33, of Fort Meyers, Florida was arrested by the Tama County Sheriff’s Department for violation of probation.

Jagger Cain Purk, 29, of Tama was arrested by the Tama Police Department on a warrant. Purk was released the same day.

David Wayne Page, 34, of Tama was arrested by the Tama Police Department on two charges of non-injury child endangerment. Page was released the next day on a pre-trial release.

Lindsey Ann Steward, 32, of Garwin was arrested by the Tama County Sheriff’s Department for first degree domestic abuse assault, obstruction of emergency communication, and two charges of child endangerment. Steward was released the next day on her own recognizance.

June 11

Byron Lee Moritz, 23, of Toledo was arrested by the Tama Police Department on a warrant for failing to appear in court, possession of a controlled substance and interference with an official act.

June 12

James Young Sherrill Jr, 33, of Van Horne was arrested by the Tama County Sheriff’s Department for second degree theft. Sherrill Jr was released the same day on a surety bond.

Erica Lynn Velez, 31, of Tama was arrested by the Tama Police Department for third degree harassment, and disorderly conduct. Velez was released the same day after pleading guilty.

Daryn Fennern, 56, of Van Horne was arrested by the Tama County Sheriff’s Department for second degree theft. Fennern was released the next day on a surety bond.

Zachary Douglas Anderson, 34, of Reinbeck was arrested by the Tama County Sheriff’s Department for possession of marijuana, possession of a controlled substance, operating without registration, failing to provide proof of financial liability, having no valid drivers license and fraudulent use of registration. Anderson was released the next day on a pre-trial release.

June 13

Amber Dawn Leahy, 36, of Cedar Rapids was arrested by the Tama County Sheriff’s Department for two violations of probation, and two warrants for failing to appear in court.

Cody Jon Werner, 24, of Montezuma was arrested by the Tama Police Department for possession of drug paraphernalia.

Jared Jayson Piper, 41, of Tama was arrested by the Tama County Sheriff’s Department for operating a vehicle without the owner’s consent, three charges of interfering with an official act resulting in bodily injury, driving under suspension, third degree harassment, stalking (first offense) and five charges of not registering on the sex offender list (second offense).

Ferol Ann Ward, 58, of Tama was arrested by the Tama Police Department for fourth degree theft. Ward was released the next day on her own recognizance.

June 14

Jessica Renea Darrah, 36, Tama was arrested by the Tama County Sheriff’s Department for violation of probation.

Todd Raymond Bird, 55, of Gladbrook was arrested by the Tama County Sheriff’s Department for third degree harassment and interference with an official act. Bird was released the next day on an unsecured bond.

Robert James Morgan, 34, of Toledo was arrested by the Tama County Sheriff’s Department for possession of drug paraphernalia and interference with an official act. Morgan was released the same day after pleading guilty.

Irene Ray Rivers, 32, of Tama was arrested by the Toledo Police Department on two warrants for failing to appear in court. Rivers was released the next day on a pre-trial release.
