Arrest Report – Tama County Jail

A criminal charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

Feb. 17

Chaske Marie Brown, 32, of Tama was arrested by the Tama County Sheriff’s Office for violation of probation.

Anthony Ray Arp, 37, of Tama was arrested by Tama Police for violation of probation.

Michael James Lovelace, 31, of Tama was arrested by Tama Police on a warrant for trespassing into a food operation, public intoxication and 5th degree criminal mischief. Lovelace was released on Feb. 18 on a bond.

Abby Marie Ballalatak, 20, of Marshalltown was arrested by Toledo Police for OWI (1st offense), speeding, possession of a controlled substance, speeding and for keeping a vehicle for controlled substance. Ballalatak was released on Feb. 18 on her own recognizance.

Tiffany Gonzalez, 18, of Marshalltown was arrested by Toledo Police for possession of a controlled substance and for possession of drug paraphernalia. Gonzalez was released on Feb. 19 on her own recognizance.

Feb. 18

Barrin Lance Sanache, 48, of Tama was arrested by Toledo Police for OWI (1st offense), possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of prescription drugs and interference with official acts. Sanache was released the same day on his own recognizance.

Feb. 19

Ashley Carol Marie Walker, 34, of Toledo was arrested by Toledo Police on a warrant for failure to appear in court. Walker was released on Feb. 24 on her own recognizance.

Robert Thomas Lenz, 56, of Pomeroy was arrested by Tama Police on a warrant for 1st degree theft and 1st degree fraud.

A juvenile was arrested by the Tama County Sheriff’s Office for driving with a suspended license, speeding and for operating a vehicle with a suspended registration.

Feb. 20

Ashanti Renea Rinehart, 18, of Le Grand was arrested by Meskwaki Police for public intoxication. Rinehart was released the same day after pleading guilty.

Victor Manuel Pesina, 21, of Tama was arrested by the Tama County Sheriff’s Office for possession of drug paraphernalia.

Feb. 21

Zachary Steven Bolar, 41, of Marshalltown was arrested by Meskwaki Police for 5th degree theft.

Feb. 22

Robert Adam Todd, 38, of Tama was arrested by the Tama County Sheriff’s Office on a warrant for violating a no contact order. Todd was released on Feb. 23 on his own recognizance.

Jerry Lowell Paustian, 77, of Gladbrook was arrested by the Tama County Sheriff’s Office on a warrant for contempt of court in a nuisance property matter with the city of Gladbrook.

Jacob Matthew Budzinsky, 23, of Waukesha, Wi., was arrested by Toledo Police for OWI (1st offense), possession of a controlled substance and for possession of drug paraphernalia. Budzinsky was released on Feb. 23 on his own recognizance.

Feb. 23

Nina Seymour, 18, of Tama was arrested by Toledo Police for OWI (1st offense), 5th degree theft, possession of alcohol as an underage person, and for violation of a restricted license. Seymour was released the same day on her own recognizance.

Lauren Kierra Bear, 31, was arrested by the Tama County Sheriff’s Office for violation of probation.

Jesse Bryan Estrada, 22, of Boone was arrested by Toledo Police for domestic abuse assault, false imprisonment and giving a false report to a public entity. Estrada was released on Feb. 24 on his own recognizance.

Feb. 24

Billie Lee Nichols Feauto, 26, of Centerville was arrested by the Tama County Sheriff’s Office for violation of probation.

Cambridge Alan Skala, 25, of Toledo was arrested by Toledo Police for public intoxication and 3rd degree harassment. Skala was released the same day on bond.

COURTS

Brycelyn Natasha Haughey, 22, of Toledo appeared in district court on Feb. 10 and entered a written arraignment and plea of not guilty to four counts of sexual explotation by a school employee (Class D felony) and one count of dissemination and exhibition of obscene material to minors (serious misdemeanor). According to the criminal complaint, Haughey was employed as a paraeducator by GMG Community School District during the 2020-2021 school year. During that time, Haughey is alleged to have begun a sexual relationship with the victim in this case, a GMG student at the time. On Dec. 27, 2021, a no contact order was issued in district court; Haughey was ordered to have no contact with the victim. Haughey waived her right to a speedy trial. A jury trial is set for May 16, at 9:00 a.m. Haughey is represented by Scott Hunter of the Marshalltown Public Defender’s Office.

Scott Lawrence Reavis, 59, of Dunkerton appeared in district court on Feb. 24 and entered a written arraignment and plea of not guilty to charges including four counts of stalking-violation of a protective order (Class D felony) and one count of harassment-second degree (serious misdemeanor). Charges relate to multiple incidents which took place on or about Oct. 27, 2021, Nov. 5, 2021, and Nov. 18, 2021, at the victim’s residence in Tama County. Reavis and the victim have a no contact order currently in effect that was issued through Tama County Courts on Sept. 7, 2021, as part of a previous, ongoing case. Reavis allegedly violated the no contact order by showing up to the victim’s Traer address while the victim was present. Reavis is further alleged to have left the victim threatening messages. Reavis waived his right to a speedy trial. A jury trial is set for June 6, 2022, at 9:00 a.m. Reavis is represented by attorney Carl Frederick Stiefel of Victor. According to court documents, Reavis is a habitual offender as a result of having two prior felony convictions: on or about Feb, 28, 1996, Reavis was convicted of /received a deferred judgment for unauthorized possession of offensive weapons; on or about Sept. 14, 2001, Reavis was convicted of /received a deferred judgment for controlled substance violation.
