Merlin Forrest Choneska, Jr, 47, Tama was arrested by Tama County Sheriff’s Department on a warrant for failure to appear.

Elizabeth Rose Bullshoe, 34, Toledo was arrested by Tama Police Department on a warrant for three counts of child endangerment-no injury. Bullshoe was released on clerk bond on Oct. 1.

John Paul Laganiere, 26, Chester was arrested by Meskwaki Tribal Police on warrants for driving while barred. Laganiere was released on cash bond on Oct. 2.

A juvenile was arrested by Tama Police Department for controlled substance violation and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Oct. 3

Luis Felipe Ordaz Ochoa, 27, Marshalltown was arrested by Tama Police Department on warrants for criminal mischief-3rd degree, trespass-injury/damage greater than $300, possession of drug paraphernalia, and two counts of violation no contact order-contempt.

Oct. 4

Troy Matthew Beckman, 44, Oskaloosa was arrested by Tama County Sheriff’s Department on warrants for two counts of violation of probation.

Brandon Wayne Mouchka, 36, Brooklyn was arrested by Tama County Sheriff’s Department on a warrant.

Erik Lee Head, 30, Tama was arrested by Toledo Police Department for public intoxication-2nd degree and interference with official acts. Head was released after he pled guilty on Oct. 5.

Felix Eduardo Diaz, 25, Tama was arrested by Toledo Police Department for driving under suspension and operating a vehicle with suspended registration.

A juvenile was arrested by Tama Police Department for harassment-1st degree and going armed with intent.

Oct. 6

Anthony James Reitinger, 29, Tama was arrested by Tama Police Department domestic assault impede air/blood flow, two counts of child endangerment-no injury, and driving while license denied/revoked-OWI.

Court News

Marian L. Roberts, 53, Tama was before the district court on October 6 for an arraignment hearing. In a written arraignment, Roberts pled not guilty to one count of domestic abuse assault impeding flow of air/blood. A warrant was issued for Roberts’ arrest on July 14, 2021 following an incident that took place at Kwik Star in Toledo on July 13, 2021. In a report issued by the Toledo Police Department, Roberts is accused of committing a domestic assault by putting the victim in a choke hold in front of multiple witnesses, causing the victim to lose airflow. Roberts has demanded a speedy trial. A jury trial has been set for November 8, 2021 at 9 a.m. Roberts is represented by attorney Robert Richard Anderson of Nevada.

Anthony James Reitinger, 29, Tama made an initial appearance in custody before the district court on October 7 on charges including one count of domestic assault impeding air/blood flow causing bodily injury, two counts of child endangerment, and one county of driving while license denied or revoked. Reitinger was arrested on October 6, 2021 by the Tama Police Department following a domestic assault. Reitinger was ordered held on cash or surety bond of $5,000. A no contact order was issued. A preliminary hearing is set for October 15 at 9 a.m. Reitinger is represented by the Marshal County Public Defender’s Office.
