New Des Monies TV channel begins broadcast of ‘classics’ today
tamatoledonews.com – DES MOINES – WHO-HD announced today that Antenna TV, the station’s third digital channel, is now transmitting across central Iowa on digital channel 13.3. The new channel features classic TV programming with a slant to comedies. In addition to the over-the-air broadcast on channel 13.3, Antenna TV will also be available across central Iowa via Mediacom cable systems on digital channel 114 beginning tday- Tuesday, February 15.
Classic programs to be featured include “Maude,” “Good Times,” “Sanford and Son,” “All in the Family” and “Married with Children,” to name just a few of the familiar titles. The regular schedule is also heavy on “The 3 Stooges” and “Benny Hill” on Friday and Saturday nights. Legendary announcer Gary Owens is the voice of the new channel.

How to view Antenna TV in central Iowa
Here are some tips to help you watch Antenna TV on most systems:
Over The Air
If you’re watching WHO-HD over-the-air, go to the “Menu” or “Set-Up” screen and select “Channel” and then “Scan” or “AutoScan”
If you’re using a digital converter box: Using the remote to the converter, go to the “Menu” or “Set-Up” screen and select “Channel” and then “Scan” or “AutoScan”
Cable
Mediacom cable subscribers with their digital box will soon start receiving Antenna TV on digital channel 114 starting on or about 2/15/11
Mediacom cable subscribers watching on an HDTV but without a digital box should be able to watch Antenna TV on channel 13.3.
Mediacom cable subscribers watching on an old analog television will not be able to view Antenna TV.
Satellite (Dish & Direct)
Antenna TV is not currently being distributed by either DISH or Direct TV. Contact your provider and request that Antenna TV be distributed in the Des Moines market. WHO-HD will be glad to provide them that programming. In the meantime, satellite customers may always choose to receive us over-the-air.
