IVCCD Board of Directors Agenda for Jan. 13
tamatoledonews.com- MARSHALLTOWN – The Iowa Valley Community College District Board of Directors will meet on Wednesday, Jan. 13 in the District Office Board Room, 3702 S. Center St., Marshalltown. The informational presentation will be on the National Career Readiness Certificate.
Regular agenda action items include the appointment of a Director to fill the District #2 vacancy, with the administration of the oath of office to follow. The Board will also consider for approval the Marshalltown Community College Dental Clinic Fee Schedule for 2010; the Academic Calendar for 2010-2011; and the 2010-2011 IVCCD Board of Directors’ meetings schedule. The Board will also approve training proposals for 260E Industrial New Jobs Training Agreements with Daden Group, Inc. in Grinnell to create 74 new jobs; and with NRP of Iowa, LLC in Steamboat Rock and Protein Transport, LLC in Eldora to create 26 new jobs. The Board is expected to approve a resolution to publish a notice of the issuance not to exceed $1,900,000 of Industrial New Jobs Training Certificates as follows: $780,000 for Swift Pork Company, $350,000 for Daden Group; $145,000 for NRP/Protein Transport; and $495,000 for Thomas L. Cardella.
In addition, a 260F Iowa Jobs Training Agreement with Chyma’s Machine and Welding Shop in Toledo will be considered for welding training for three employees.
A continuation of a contract with Progress Industries, Inc. and IVCCD for Payroll Services at the Career Development Centers in Marshall, Poweshiek and Tama counties, will also be considered for approval.
