U.S. 30 closures could cause travel delays for Iowa State fans on Saturday

tamatoledonews.com- MARSHALLTOWN (SPECIAL) Continuing road work on U.S. 30 east of Tama County will intermittently restrict the roadway to one lane Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 16 and 17, weather permitting, according to the Iowa Department of Transportation Marshalltown construction office.

Traffic will be assisted through the work area by flaggers and a pilot car.

The Iowa DOT reminds motorists to drive with caution, obey posted speed limit and other signs in the work area, and be aware that traffic fines for moving violations are at least double in work zones. As in all work zones, drivers should stay alert, allow ample space between vehicles and wear seat belts.
