Paulette Wobeter

Paulette Wobeter, 75, of Toledo, passed away Friday, January 14, 2022 at UnityPoint-Grinnell Regional Medical Center. A Private Graveside Service will be held at St. Wenceslaus Cemetery in Clutier with Deacon Stan Upah officiating. Visitation will be held Thursday, January 20, 2022, from 5-7 PM at Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home in Tama.

Mary Paulette was born on October 28, 1946, in Kansas. Her parents were Paul Waner and Hazel Glassburner.

She graduated from La Junta High School in Colorado and attended Beauty School there.

On June 28, 1969, she was united in marriage to Paul Edwin Wobeter in La Junta, Colorado. Prior to her marriage she was a beautician and then was a homemaker while raising her family. Paulette was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Tama. She was a 4-H leader for fifteen years and later inducted into the 4-H Hall of Fame. Paulette was a member of the Tama County Porkette’s where she also served on the board. She loved collecting pigs.

Survivors include a son, Curt (Karin) Wobeter of Toledo; three grandsons, Curt’s son, Austin (Makenze) Wobeter, and Craig’s sons, Carson and Caiden Wobeter; one brother, Tim (Jeanie) Waner of Highland Ranch, CO; and many nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Paul on August 26, 2012; and her son, Craig on May 25, 2017.

Memorials may be directed to the Tama County 4-H.
