Four Trojan girls earn WaMaC soccer honors
The WaMaC conference released their end-of-the-season honors for girls soccer on Wednesday, June 3. Four STC female athletes received recognition for their performance during this past spring’s season.
Leading the way for the Trojans was junior Khloe Balderas, who was named to the WaMaC all-conference first team for the Western Division. Balderas led STC in goals (3) and points (6) this season. Gaining second team all-conference honors was junior Keylee Holloway. Finally, two Trojans earned WaMaC all-conference honorable mentions: sophomore Guadalupe Barajas and junior Maria Tomas-Mejia.
Senior Kendyl Malli of Clear Creek-Amana was named the WaMaC West Division player of the year.
It was previously announced by head coach Morgan McFate at the spring sports banquet that five girls soccer players earned WaMaC academic all-conference honors. These included: senior Maddalyn Brown, and juniors Madison Engler, Ioleta Kingbird, Yvonne Seremba, and Tomas-Mejia.
