STC boys soccer wins back-to-back games
The STC boys soccer team won two games in a row last week to push their record to 2-4 on the season. For first-year head coach Andrew Walton and the Trojans, the victories came against West Delaware and Independence.
Their first victory came on Tuesday, April 21, against West Delaware in Manchester. Taking a 2-1 advantage into halftime, the Trojans added seven goals in the second half to finish off the Hawks with a dominant 9-2 victory.
The second win came on Friday, April 24, against Independence at home. The Trojans jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first half before the Mustangs cut the lead to 2-1. But STC added another goal before halftime, and two more in the second half, to secure a 5-2 victory.
Up next for the boys soccer team is a matchup against Clear Creek Amana on Tuesday, May 5, at Tiffin. This will be followed by a home contest against Grinnell on Thursday, May 7.
