STC archers earn titles and scholarships at state tournament

DES MOINES – South Tama archers earned multiple state titles and scholarships at the 2026 Iowa Archery in Schools state tournament, held March 27-29 at the Iowa State Fairgrounds, led by standout performances from Ava Boldt, Timm Chandonia and Connor Bradley.

Boldt, a sophomore, won the high school girls titles in both bullseye and 3D competition, posting scores of 294 in each event. She also earned high overall honors in both disciplines and was named to the all-state girls teams in bullseye and 3D.

She received three $1,500 scholarships for her performances in bullseye, 3D and combined scoring, and won two new bows.

Chandonia, a senior, placed seventh in the high school boys 3D competition and was named to the all-state boys team. He was also the recipient of a $500 Cal Stuchen Memorial Scholarship.

Bradley, the youngest of the trio as a seventh grader, finished third in the middle school boys 3D competition and finished ninth in bullseye.
