From June 21 to June 25, high school wrestlers from around the nation gathered in Orlando, Fla. to compete in the 2023 AAU Wrestling Scholastic Duals. Four state wrestling medalists from STC made their way to Florida to compete with fellow Iowa Prep athletes. The efforts of Gavin Bridgewater and Amare Chavez helped bring home a fourth place finish for the team Iowa Black in the All-star division. The Electric Elsburys, Maeley and Autumn, helped “Iowa Minion Nation” to a third place finish. Both teams competed in a field of around 40. All STC participants return for the 2023-2024 wrestling season.
