South Tama’s Koch awarded into 200 win club

The Iowa High School Baseball Coaches Association (IHSBCA) held it 51st annual Awards Banquet on Saturday, January 19 at the Marriott Hotel banquet room in Cedar Rapids.
Hall of Fame Inductee’s included Jay Ryan, Davenport Central (Coach), Rod Unger, Missouri Valley (Coach), Bill Sandry, Davenport Central (Player), Steve Fink, Kee High Lansing (Player) and Lyle Gibson, Burlington (Contributor).
South Tama Baseball coach Seth Koch made it into the 200 win club. He was also recognized for 30 years of service for coaching baseball. Koch started coaching for the STC Trojans in 1992 as the freshman/sophomore coach. In 2002 he took over the head coach roll from Jerry Bisher. He met his wife Alice (Avery) upon moving to South Tama. They have been married for 24 years and have two sons Grant and Lane, both of whom played baseball and graduated from South Tama.
