Jordan signs with Mount Mercy University

South Tama’s Nick Jordan signed his letter of intent to run for the Mount Mercy Mustangs next year. Jordan is the son of Kendall and Barb Jordan of Toledo.

The Mustangs are coached by head coach Jamie Jimison.

Jimison, a native of Sardinia, Ohio, holds USATF Level II certification in sprints, hurdles and relays. He became Mount Mercy’s head track & field coach and assistant cross country coach prior to the 2010-11 season. Through six seasons with the Mustangs, Jimison has coached 20 NAIA All-Americans including two NAIA national champions. There have been 31 individual track & field national qualifiers in 67 events and Mount Mercy has counted 37 NAIA Scholar-Athletes during his tenure. Under his tutelage, 67 indoor and outdoor track & field records have been established at Mount Mercy.
