WAVERLY, Iowa– Qualifiers for the 2018 Indoor National Track and Field Championships were announced today. The championships are March 9-10 at the Birmingham CrossPlex in Birmingham, Alabama, with Birmingham Southern College and the Birmingham CrossPlex will serve as hosts.

STC graduates, Isabelle Tyynismaa and Sam Holtz, qualified for nationals. Tyynismaa qualified along with teammates Duehr, Taylor, and Jones in the 4×400 and Holtz in the Shot Put and Weight Throw.

Taylor and Tyynismaa ran on the All-American DMR last year and took 8th.

The 4x400m relay team has finished as All-Americans at 15 of the last 16 National Championships.

Wartburg women have earned a trophy (finished in the top four of the team standings) in eight of the past 10 years. The Knights were the National Champions in 2009, 2010 and 2012).
