Following the opening morning session of Class 2A State wrestling South Tama will be sending five of six wrestlers forward in the tournament.

Brady Fritz (132), Tanner Probasco (138), Isaac Judge (152) will all move on to the quarterfinals.

Colton Vest (145) and Dalton Rosenburg (182) remain alive on the consolation side of the bracket.

STC’s 285, Mario Moncada, ended his season this morning. This was the first trip to the State Tournament for the senior.

132 – STC’s Brady Fritz over Brody Roll. Fritz will see Will Esmoil of West Liberty in Quarters.

138 – Tanner Probasco over Adam Ahrendsen of Union. Probasco will see Cam Rice (Columbus/Winfield-Mt Union) in the Quarters.

145 – Colton Vest falls to Mitchel Swank (Creston/O-M). Cons. match – Vest over Tiger Terpstra from Centerville in the consolation match.

152 – Isaac Judge over Roberto Cardenas (Sioux Center. Judge will see Dylan Koresh (Charles City) in the Quarters.

182 – South Tama’s Dalton Rosenburg falls to Juilen Broderson (Assumption). Rosenburg over Lane Albertsen of Union. Rosenburg will face the loser of Kyler Fisher (Southeast Valley) or Mike Hoyle (Solon) in second round consolation.

285 – STC’s Mario Moncada falls to John McConkey (Atlantic-CAM). Moncada also fell to Mitchell Huisenga (Washington) in his consolation match.
