Out! This is quite possibly the best softball photo I?have ever taken. Mostly it was just right time right place but I?was able to capture Maci Fritz get an out at third base during the Trojans contest with Marion.

Another year is coming to a close. Personally I?am happy to put 2017 in the rear view mirror. Professionally there have been some great highlights in 2017.

Over the holidays I?started reflecting on the year. I?have seen lots of year in recaps and it inspired me to look back on all of the photos I?have taken and memories I?have captured of South Tama athletics. Even covering just one school I?have lots of photos to choose from and many more I?wish I could have included.

Some of these photos have run already and some haven’t but I?thought I would share them either again or for the first time and explain why they are some of my favorites.

Many of them are simple and most aren’t action shots. That is because my favorite photos are the ones that capture the emotion of what is happening.
