Round House I?really love shooting in South Tama’s gym. STC’s round gym is unique as most gyms I am in are pretty much a box. The round house makes for interesting angels and is also very well lit for a high school gym! This particular shot is of Keith Keahna about to make a layup.

Another year is coming to a close. Personally I?am happy to put 2017 in the rear view mirror. Professionally there have been some great highlights in 2017.

Over the holidays I?started reflecting on the year. I?have seen lots of year in recaps and it inspired me to look back on all of the photos I?have taken and memories I?have captured of South Tama athletics. Even covering just one school I?have lots of photos to choose from and many more I?wish I could have included.

Some of these photos have run already and some haven’t but I?thought I would share them either again or for the first time and explain why they are some of my favorites.

Many of them are simple and most aren’t action shots. That is because my favorite photos are the ones that capture the emotion of what is happening.
