The South Tama Trojan seventh grade football team hosted the Vinton-Shellsburg Vikings on Tuesday, September 26. Vinton-Shellsburg scored a touchdown in the first quarter to take a 6-0 lead. In the second quarter Vinton-Shellsburg scored again to make the score 12-0 at the half.

South Tama scored in the third quarter to make the score 12-6. Late in the fourth quarter, the Trojans scored again to tie the game at 12-12. The two-point conversion failed making the final score 12-12.

The Trojans played an extremely good second half both offensively and defensively. It was a great learning experience and the kids played with a lot of enthusiasm and determination in the second half.
