After South Tama’s varsity and freshman squads secured wins over Grinnell on Saturday, August 29 it was the JV’s turn against the rival Tigers.

The JV squad travelled to Grinnell on Monday, August 31 and came home with a statement win of 58-0 win over the Tigers.

It was a true team effort for the Trojans as seven different players scored touchdowns, 14 players had a least one tackle and multiple players had interceptions.

“Overall we had a great team victory,” said JV head coach Dustin Peska, “It boiled down to athletes just making plays. The kids did a lot of little things, which led up to big plays, and I give the credit to the “HOGS” up front. They are the reason we scored multiple touchdowns.”

The JV Trojans will host Vinton-Shellsburg at home on Tuesday, September 8. Kickoff is scheduled for 6:00 p.m.
