Before June is in the rear-view mirror, I noticed that I missed some incredible, “for real” important days! We’ve been made aware of Juneteenth, Summer Solstice Day and D-Day, but for what else is June also to be remembered?

Are you ready for this? Bet not! National Barefoot Day, National I Love My Dentist Day (I purposefully let this one slide by), Insect Repellant Awareness Day (obviously ignored by the gnats in my backyard) and National Repeat Day (where you’re supposed to have the chance to do things not just once, but twice…like the laundry, the speedy ticket and indigestion? It’s not happening! And what about National Start Over Day? Did these two parties ever figure out that “repeat” and “start over” seem redundant?

Or there is also the National Hug Your Cat Day! Six cats were fighting over bird kill in my backyard last week, but they’re getting no lovin’ from me! But let’s not forget that June is also National Yo-Yo Day, National Donald Duck Day, National Call Your Doctor Day (Forget it–I did, and he stuck me with a needle). And one last one to top it all off: National Headache Awareness Week!

Here’s a new one: National Love Jesus Day! Why not? He loves you!
