Many years ago, a small boy asked his father, “Why must we surrender our faith and believe something else?” His father replied, “Son, we must abandon our faith so that people will accept us….” This young boy never got over his disappointment and bitterness. His faith in his father and godly beliefs were crushed.

Grown and leaving his homeland, he studied at the British Museum, where he formed his philosophies for life, void of faith in God. From his intensive studies, he wrote a book that changed the world; and that one little book influenced billions into a string of many decades of ruin, imprisonment, and death.

The book he wrote was “The Communist Manifesto!” The little boy’s name was Karl Marx! So widespread was Marx’s influence that major world leaders, including Vladimir Lenin, were credited with having 7-12 million people killed, Mao Zedong starved to death 80 million people, and Fidel Castro executed 30,000, drown 70,000, and purposefully starved to death many others, all cited Marx as an influence. One man, one faith…crushed…resulting in massive deaths, with many more tortured and imprisoned!

Faith misplaced has tragic consequences! In what do you place your faith? Vain philosophies or faith in God? Our choices we own…but so are the consequences!
