Pastor’s Corner: Mirror, Mirror, on the Wall!
Pastor Mike Nodland
Most of us look in the mirror daily and assess the damage done by a night of apparently sleeping on our heads and perhaps falling out of our beds. At least, that’s been my personal experience. I remember my oldest sister getting a satin pillow to retain her beautiful hairstyle through the night. I don’t know if it ever worked.
Remember in Snow White, the wicked queen gazed into the mirror, uttering, “Mirror, mirror on the wall, who is the fairest one of all?” To which the mirror replied that Snow White was a thousand times fairer than the wicked queen.
In this election year, who do we really see in the mirror? Is it someone who votes on principle?
A pivotal point for every Christian is that the Bible says that God created man in His image. The first boy, Cain, destroyed life, and God dealt with him severely. May we learn a lesson from this and take very seriously how we vote this year. Judeo-Christian values are on the line.
Standing before God someday, may He not say to me, “What were you thinking!” My vote’s for life!
