While most of us are past the time to dress up and trick or treat, we can always love Halloween. I have never been a big Halloween fan because I do not enjoy being scared. On the other hand, I love the performance, and Halloween is a reason to dress up. Here are a few ideas for costumes this season.

The first costume is the “I’m Over Political Ads.” Political ads are too much, and there are still too many more to come before Election Day. So instead of using a political ad’s black and white colors, make the costume bright and use a sash with those words. Tell a joke, lighten the mood, and do anything unrelated to politics. This is the key to making this costume work. See a political ad on television at a house party or trick or treating. Go turn it off. Make the world a better place.

The next costume is water. It does not matter what one looks like, whether one wants to dress up as water with blue clothes or carry around jugs of water. If you want to go above and beyond, buy a truck with a water tank and hose down people’s lawns. With the whole Hawkeye State in a drought, any water will help. Granted, I do not know where you will find the water to use for this costume, but maybe mother nature will appreciate the costume and provide it.

The last costume is to be an announcer. What kind of announcer? Whatever you want to be. It can be a sports announcer, a television show, or an announcer of everyday activities. It is fun to have life announced by someone else, and providing this gift will be a blessing for others, hopefully. In addition, one gets to wear a nice outfit while using a gaming headset for their mic, and one looks stellar in this look. After that, it is all fun. Announcing is a talk but with pizzazz.

There could be more costume ideas, but these unique ideas will work. Halloween is a fun time to be creative, so think big for your costume or what you would wear if you do not want to

put in the work of figuring out a costume. It is the time of the year to be different and have fun with your idea. Enjoy it because it is another 365 days until the next Halloween.
