Let me get very serious for a moment. For nearly 25 years, I tried to build my way to meaning, purpose, and an understanding of life and people, but it made no sense to me. Borrowed happiness from a bottle, friendship, relationships, education, career, etc.–all meant well, but none delivered what I’d hoped.

Peggy Lee’s song played on, “Is That All There Is…then let’s keep dancing…break out the booze and have a ball if that’s all there is!”

Then one day, I came alive! All the blindness in my eyes washed away from the wasted and dead years of searching. Some might loosely say, “I got religion or religious!” They said it would wear off in a few weeks…but it’s been confirmed for 47 years!

Throwing away human crutches, I have Jesus Christ! No more hollowness–just fullness of hope! I’ve been born again! The old and dead have been buried, and each day is full of newness and joy! The reality of life after this life hit home! It’s real!

When I was a kid, I missed my ride to school and got left behind. But, finding Jesus, I have hope…purpose…a totally new life! Feeling Left Behind? Trust in Jesus! He’s Right Ahead!
