We take many things for The gift-givers and receivers!

granted. With the early October snow, all I could think of was winterizing the car, cleaning the garage, mowing the lawn one last time, etc. But I didn’t think about the beautiful gift of snowjust all the work it generated.

What about the other “gift-givers” we forget to appreciate? Then, I thought about this newspaper. We wouldn’t know what was going on, locally, around us without them. We’d get Cedar Rapids, Marshalltown, Waterloo or Des Moines news-but what about us? This newspaper keeps me informed about movies at theaters, events at fairs, celebrations, work of law enforcement/local government, sales in local businesses that we support, our Veterans, school and sports activities, those who’ve passed away, etc. Hey-here’s a great gift idea: why not get a gift subscription to this paper? Be a gift-giver this Christmas season!

I appreciate the staff at this paper! Thank you for all you do! And I appreciate the greatest gift of all: God sent His Only Begotten Son to die on a Cross for my sins. What would it look like if you received Jesus Christ today as your Savior? It’s His gift to you!
