I thought of a couple more events that I participated in at the community building over the years.

I am a descendant of Henry Sylvester Dixon of Tama County. For at least 15 years we had our annual Dixon reunion held at the community building. We also had the local photographer Ernie Sevde take photos of the group on the veranda steps of the building.

Another event I took part in was a local card club. We met the second and fourth Monday for cards called “Court Whist”. We had a lot of fun and fellowship. The building was a great place for us to meet. Thank you to all who allowed us to enjoy it!
