Market Report for May 25, 2018

Bearing in mind it was a holiday weekend the Toledo Farmers’ Market was a busy place. I hope everyone had a relaxing safe Memorial Day weekend. The articles are a little mixed up this week. Hopefully we will get back on track next week. Thanks for reading.

April with American Sweetheart Kreations was back with her produce bags, tie dyed bandanas, hand made jewelry and some deco tree stumps.

Kristi had her table full of asparagus, rolicky, kolaches, twisty, cinnamon and pecan rolls, pies, crisp’s, cakes, bars, and cookies Devin brought her delicious cupcakes.

Darold has returned with yummy looking radishes, green onions, and eggs. He was busy over winter making upcycled/recycled out door tables manufactured out of tires. Very cool design. Welcome back Darold.

Busy Bee Acres was at market with assorted sizes of honey, including cmb honey; lip balms, solid lotion bars, and bees wax wrap. Did I tell you Busy Bee Acres was a market? They were also at market last week and this market manager left them out of the article. Sorry of the mistake and thanks for pointing it out to me.

Chuck and Ginger brought breads, pies, kolaches, popcorn, hot pepper powder, nutmeats, honey, rhubarb, eggs, and crisps.

Dawn had plenty of asparagus, rhubarb, dried herbs, houseplants, green onions, soup mixes, and home made noodles.

The Dragon Wagon, again filled the market with the delicious aroma of their caramel and kettle corn. Thanks Terry and Beckey it is delicious

Janet had plenty of sugar cookies, zucchini, pumpkin, and poppy seed bread. She also had plenty of eggs.

Jim had his hand made leather items, purses, wallets, belts, coin purses, and hair clips.

Joe and Barb had awesome looking lettuce, asparagus, rolls, granola, pies, yeast breads, and crisps. Joe thinks next week he will have kohlrabi.

Mildred Mason, along with her husband Bob are new vendors this year. Mildred makes and sells beautiful Deco Mesh Wreaths and Candle holders. Mildred is on the north end under the flowering tree with her beautiful creations. Welcome to the market.

Across from Mildred sits Autumn who makes all natural Body Scrubs, they are wonderful. Autumn also made some homemade strawberry/banana bread. Welcome to market Autumn.

And holding up the market on the north end was The Bunny Farm. Bill and Gail brought heirloom tomato plants, wild flower plants, and pepper plants Gail was busy in the kitchen making kale chips, cookies, sweet potatoes chips, dehydrated fruit, jams, jellies, dried peppers, crisp, and granola that is completely Vegan. Bill and his friend played a little music for the market.

As you can see vendors are returning slowly and new vendors are joining in. Take time to come up on Friday nights from 5-7 and visit the Toledo Farmers’ Market and see what you can find. See you at market.
