My, where did the year 2016 go? It is December now and the Christmas season is upon us.

It seems a little early for people to have their homes decorated for the holidays. Do you drive around the twin-cities (Tama and Toledo) and look at their decorations? You should. It has always been one of the things I do with my husband. I do the driving and tell him who’s place it used to be. We don’t know a lot of the new residents so I always say “such and such” used to live here.

The uptown Toledo had the advantage of the courthouse. Isn’t the square just lovely with the trees decorated with lights? It is just beautiful. Thank you to the supervisors for allowing this to take place.

As you can tell this is my favorite time of the year. Everyone goes out of their way to speak, smile or nod to everyone and to be extra nice. I wish it would happen all year long!
