Well, this is the one column you’ve been waiting for, Pet Peeves! The long winter drought is over and it’s time to once again look closely at those little and sometimes not-so-little things that really get under our skin. Those Pet Peeves that really grind our gears, tweek our eyebrows and throw us in a tizzy. I’ve been asking around for a few weeks now and here are some of your pet peeves. I’ll share my top ten a little later.

My friend Mark hates guys walking around in those baggy pants hanging way down too far. Not sure what he thinks if the girls do it!!!

Elaine loathes people on the interstate that insist on driving in the left lane….and going slowly.

Tom, Melinda and several others don’t like fake people and people that habitually lie.

Mary Kay and quite a few others don’t like people who are always late. Be on time.

Sue isn’t too happy about people walking their dogs and letting them do their business in her yard.

Many of you think it quite rude to be in a group of people and everyone checking and texting on their phones.

Some of you ladies are not happy campers when the husbands leave the toilet seat up-especially in the middle of the night. One lady was brave enough to tell me that one night she sat down and fell in.

But to be fair, a couple of you brave, (but not too smart) guys out there feel that the woman should put the seat up. Equal rights and all that jazz, I guess.

Sherry likes to give to charities but doesn’t like receiving letter after letter from them asking for more and more.

Here are my pet peeves in no particular order:

People who always think they’re right. Really upsets those of us that are.

Those news analysts that think they have all the answers. Why don’t they run for office then!! Haruuumph.

Don’t you just hate driving through a fast food joint and not getting what you ordered??

I’m not too fond of buying expensive greeting cards. I always tell Deb, it’s the thought that counts. I might be her pet peeve!!!!

I HATE COMMERCIALS. I would say especially the dumb ones–but mostly they’re all dumb. And so many of them!!!!

Does anyone really care that celebrities support this or that candidate? Come on,do we really care??

* Another pet peeve! Calling a business and having to listen to press this or that number. Give me a human being for goodness sake.

And I hate the “F” word. Why, why, why why???? It’s embarrassing to go to a movie and hear it 75 times.

I also do not like instant replay in sports. Play the game and let the refs and umps just call the game the best they can. They do pretty darn good.

And along with that, not too up on people who find fault with everyone and everything. Come on, take responsibility for your life.

Not happy when I leave a birdie putt short. In fact, I hate it.
