Letter to the Editor:

Those who read the Oct. 24th Des Moines Register front page story on money in political races, saw that Bruce Rastetter is now Terry Branstad’s top fund raiser. In my last letter, I listed Rastetter as one of those recipients of big eastern money.

It is a sad period in our American history when politicians seek elections not for public service, but as a means to make themselves and their political contributions richer. This done, on the backs of those they are supposed to represent.
