Dear Editor:

Why would democrats want to be like republicans? Should we all be like Rush Limbaugh? A drug abuser, on fourth wife. It was republicans who put us into deep debt. Remember president Clinton left us a surplus. Chet Culver didn’t live a life style that caused him to have a heart attack at a young age. Branstad cann’t say that. Governor Branstad ran against Bonnie Campbell on the death penalty issue and couldn’t get it passed even though he had a republican legislature for 2 of those years. It was under democrat governor Hughes we had the death penalty until republican Bob Ray got rid of it.
