Save on tress to plant

Greetings:

The Tama County Conservation Board is participating in the Alliant Energy sponsored Operation Releaf program. If you are an Alliant Energy customer in Tama County or adjoining counties this program allows you to purchase up to two trees for your yard at substantial savings over traditional costs for each tree. The trees are 6′- 8′ tall (deciduous species) and 2′- 3′ (pine).

The trees are selling quickly so don’t delay in getting your order with payment sent in today.

TREES AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE (275 available) –

Shade trees are 6-8 feet tall in 5-7 gallon containers, conifers are 2-3 feet tall. Please consider the size at maturity when selecting the right tree for your site.

Bur Oak (can be 70′ tall, 60′ wide)

Flowering Crabapple  (can be 25′ tall, 20′ wide)

Japanese Tree Lilac (can be 30′ tall, 20′ wide)

Funds raised through the sale of trees will benefit the Tama County Nature Center and its programs.

So, if you want a nice tree or two at a reasonable cost which will add beauty and energy efficiency to your home, provide a bit more habitat in your yard for wildlife, and benefit the Tama County Nature Center at the same time this is the ticket for you.
