Larry Konicek

Larry F. Konicek, age 86, of Garwin, Iowa, passed away on the morning of September 25, 2026 at Southridge Specialty Care in Marshalltown under the care of Care Initiatives Hospice.

Memorial services for Larry will be held on Wednesday, September 30, 2026 beginning at 10:30 A.M. at the St. Francis of Assisi Parish: St. Henry Church in Marshalltown. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, September 29, 2026 from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown. Memorials in Larry’s name may be directed to his family for a later designation. Those left to remember and cherish his memory are his wife of 67 years, Judy; his three children, Mike (LeAnn) Konicek, RaeLyn (Jack) Heinrichs and Brad (Pam) Konicek; 11 grandchildren;16 great-grandchildren. Additionally, he is survived by his sister, Colleen (Richard) Steveson; sisters-in-laws, Jan Konicek and Sharry (Jeff) Krouch along with numerous nieces and nephews and many loved extended family members.
