Peggyy Hutchison

Peggy Hutchison, 71, passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by her family under the care of Iowa River Hospice, on August 4, 2026. A come and go Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the State Bank of Toledo Community Room, Uptown Toledo. With honor, Adams Celebration of Life is serving the family.

Peggy was born on September 1, 1954, to Harold and Elaine (Ledford) Hutchison. She attended Garwin School until her family moved to Tama during her freshman year of high school. She graduated from South Tama High School in 1973.

At the age of 19, Peggy began working at Amana Refrigeration, where she dedicated 42 years of service before retiring.

Peggy’s greatest joy in life was spending time with her three daughters and six grandchildren. She treasured every moment with her family and will be remembered for the love and devotion she shared with them.

She is survived by her three daughters: Erin White of Tama, Erica McAdoo of Cedar Rapids, and Megan McAdoo of Williamsburg; six grandchildren: Dillon, Braxton, Loudon, Jason, Sydney, and Kendra; two brothers: Mike (Jody) Hutchison of Clutier, Iowa, and Steve (Sharon) Hutchison of Phoenix, Arizona; as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
