Lonnie Hutson

Lonnie Gene Hutson, 79, of Tama, passed away Sunday, August 16, 2026 at his home under the care of Iowa River Hospice. Memorial Services will be held Friday, August 21, 2026 at 10:30 AM at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Tama with Pastor Warren Riley officiating. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Toledo. Visitation will be held Friday, August 21, 2026 from 9:30-10:30 AM prior to the service at the church.

Survivors include his wife of fifty-seven years, Carol of Tama; his children, Becky Hutson of Tama, and Chad (Diana) Hutson of Huxley; three granddaughters, Taryn, Jadyn, and Claire Hutson; siblings, Donna Pippert of Cedar Falls, and Gary Hutson of Blairstown; brother-in-law, Bruce Mostrom; and several nieces and nephews.

Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home, Tama-Toledo, is assisting the family with arrangements.
