Lonnie Clark

Lonnie Dean Clark, age 64 of Tama, passed away on Friday, March 13, 2026, at his home.

Born on July 11, 1961, at Allen Hospital in Waterloo, the third of five children born to Frank and Betty (Wilkinson) Clark. He attended Independence Schools. On August 11, 1979, Lonnie was united in marriage with Robin Reed.

In his younger years, Lonnie worked at the Tama Pack, now known as Iowa Premium Beef, Indiana Dairy Production, Tama Livestock Auction, and with local Amish families. He has been a truck driver since 1990; He started with hauling grain, and for the last 30+ years, he drove for Siemens Trucking.

Lonnie was known as Rooster, although no one really knows where that nickname started. He would always say, “Rooster is in town”. Lonnie had great pride in his collection of roosters, some being six foot tall. His true passion in life was trucking and when he was not driving, he could be found in his shop tinkering on his semi. Lonnie was an Iowa State Cyclones and Kansas City Chiefs fan; He enjoyed placing bets against family members on who would win the game. Lonnie treasured his time spent with his kids and grandkids.

Lonnie is reunited in death with his parents, Frank and Betty Clark; and his sister, Jamie Brislawn. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Robin; his children: Nikki (Boo) Steuhm, John (Haley) Clark, and Jessica Clark (Derek); grandchildren: Brodie, Kolbie, Chloee, Kingsley, Maggie, Josh, Ryder, Cohen, and Beckett; and great-grandchildren: Khalil, Brodie Jr., and Brenna. He is also survived by his siblings: Debbie Clark (Joe Kunz) Merna (Clyde) Bearden, and Rob (Tracy) Clark; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at Haven Cemetery, rural Tama County.
